Oxfordshire Careers Hub
Schools and colleges have a vital role in teaching young people about their future career options and opportunities.
Oxfordshire Careers Hub, which is delivered in partnership by OxLEP and The Careers & Enterprise Company, can support your school or college to deliver high quality, meaningful careers education for your students based on the Gatsby Benchmarks.
Working with School Leaders, Governors and Careers Leaders, we will support you to develop a progressive careers programme that inspires and informs your students to make informed decisions in order to take their best next step at key transitions points throughout their education.
All schools and colleges in the Oxfordshire Careers Hub are supported by the Careers Hub Lead and one of our skilled Careers Hub Enterprise Coordinators, who will ensure that the school are kept informed, updated and engaged in order to provide a careers programme which supports all of their students.

Meet the Team
Our skilled team of Skills and Enterprise Coordinators work with Careers Leaders in schools and colleges across Oxfordshire. They offer practical assistance and resources to help schools and colleges develop effective careers programmes.
Our Skills and Enterprise Coordinators will match schools and colleges with an Enterprise Adviser, a business volunteer, who can help to support Careers Leaders to create a careers programme that helps bridge the gap between education and the workplace. They will support collaboration between schools and colleges in local areas to ensure that best practice is shared and efforts are combined. They will also help to make connections to businesses and other careers providers who can support schools/colleges to create a careers programme that supports all students.

The Careers Hub aims to create sustainable relationships between schools/colleges and local business.
Many of Oxfordshire’s schools and colleges already have fantastic relationships with a variety of employers from across the county.
However, if you are a member of our Careers Hub and your school/college requires additional support from Oxfordshire employers, please complete the form below which will be shared with our database of employers who have expressed an interest in supporting local schools. Businesses will then contact you directly if they are able to support.
Enterprise Adviser Network
There are over 50 Enterprise Advisers partnered with secondary schools and colleges across Oxfordshire. Working with the Careers Leader and other senior school or college leaders, they are a trusted adviser supporting the school or college as they to develop a strong careers programme that supports the needs of all students.
The Enterprise Advisers are supported by a Skills and Enterprise Coordinator from Oxfordshire Careers Hub who also works with the school or college.

Find Your Future
Find Your Future, OxLEP’s online careers platform for young people, schools/colleges and parents/carers is now available to access. You can find information and inspiration about your future under one ‘virtual roof’:
- Explore the different employment sectors available in Oxfordshire
- Connect with local and national employers
- Research post 16/18 options including colleges, apprenticeships, T Levels and universities
- Discover tips on the skills employers are looking for, CV writing and how to succeed at interviews
Support for young people with Special Education Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
The National Careers Strategy makes it clear that all young people should be supported to achieve their optimum career outcome. Both the Oxfordshire Careers Hub and the CEC have created resources to support young people with SEND in any setting that support them.
Our Oxfordshires Your Future site features a number of different career paths young people can enter with no formal or minimal qualifications due to their SEND needs. Careers and labour market information (LMI) can be hard to navigate especially for pupils with SEND. This site will allow access to easily digestible information relating to accessible career pathways, skills needed for those jobs, employment sectors and salaries. It is important to help young people start thinking early about transition and future careers. Using the Oxfordshire Your Futures site aims to support positive career outcomes.
