Apprenticeship Support
Employers with an annual pay bill of ÂŁ3m+ pay 0.5% of this as an apprenticeship levy. Employers are able to pledge up to 50% of their levy annually. Levy can be pledged to small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), charities and social enterprises to help fund apprenticeship training and assessment.
Our Social Contract Programme’s Oxfordshire Apprenticeship Advisors offer support and guidance, which includes helping employers to unlock their apprenticeship levy and enabling smaller organisations to access unused levy in order to start or develop their apprenticeship schemes. It also includes support for employers and training providers with the apprenticeship journey, with a strong focus on the timely completion of the apprenticeship. This support is already pre-funded, so there is no cost to the employer.
How to talk you your employer about doing an apprenticeship
You may be unsure about how to start the conversation with your employer but don’t worry, both yourself, your employer and the organisation will benefit from the extra training, so have a look at our tips on how to approach the topic and find out about the apprenticeship support available for your employer.
Apprenticeship Ambassadors
Through sharing their experiences, your apprentices could support our work to raise awareness of the benefits of apprenticeships to young people in education while promoting your business.
