Year 9 Human Library, Chipping Norton School

We are looking for approximately 30 professionals of all different sectors to come and talk to our students about their profession.

The human library event is run a bit like speed dating where the students go round in groups of 4 and ask each professional about what they do as a career. Every 5 minutes a bell goes and students move on to the next professional. So, at the end of the session each student has talked to 30 different professionals about their field of work.

This is such a valuable event for our students as it gives them an insight into so many different careers. In the past this has even led to our students furthering their knowledge in a specific sector by undertaking work experience and even going on to apprenticeships and careers in these fields.
