Enterprise Oxfordshire is pleased to announce the launch of its procurement process for Wave 6 of the Department for Education’s Skills Bootcamps programme. This marks a significant step in delivering high-impact, sector-specific training that helps Oxfordshire residents upskill or reskill into priority sectors, while supporting local employers to fill key vacancies.
Enterprise Oxfordshire will be managing £2,082,040-worth of Skills Bootcamps programmes across Oxfordshire with procured partnerships to deliver each programme.
Offering a range of free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, the Skills Bootcamps programme aims to give people the opportunity to build up a variety of sector-specific skills helping to fast-track individuals to an interview opportunity with an employer and ultimately paid work.
Two-Phased Procurement Approach
Enterprise Oxfordshire procurement will follow a two-phased approach:
Phase 1 Procurement (May 2025):
- Focused on sectors ready to launch delivery in September 2025, including Digital Marketing, Data Analytics, AI in Business, Cyber Security, Project Management and Engineering/ Manufacturing.
Phase 2 Procurement (June 2025):
- Focused on Construction in the built environment, Green Construction, Electrical Installation, Solar PV and EV Charging, Leadership and Management in Construction, HGV and Logistics, Health and Social Care, Early Years and Construction in Prisons.

- Friday 4 July 2025 at 11:00am – ‘Skills Bootcamps’ proposals to be submitted to SkillsBootcamps@enterpriseoxfordshire.com
- Monday 7 – Friday 18 July 2025 – assessment (scoring) of proposals received.
- Monday 21 – Tuesday 29 July 2025 – interviews with the three top scoring bidders.
- Thursday 31 July 2025 – suppliers will be notified.
- Thursday 14 August 2025 – Standstill Period ends.
- Monday 18 August 2025 – contract and commencement.
